I’ve had many couples ask how we get the guests involved without being that overbearing, screaming, hard-to-understand DJ. It’s all about training and common sense. I’ve seen the bad DJs, I’ve had many calls from couples telling me their sister or brother’s wedding was ruined by a DJ who talked the talk but couldn’t walk the walk. I’ve seen DJs yawn during songs! I’ve seen DJs sit in a chair and not watch the dance floor for musical direction! I’ve walked into other rooms at a banquet hall where another wedding dance is going on and have seen no one dancing and the DJ at the bar talking to the bartender! And get this, at one wedding dance, I had the wedding party of another wedding ask my bride if they could come over and party with us! The bride said yes and they all joined in for a wonderful party for over two hours. What I’m saying is that the ENTERTAINMENT WILL MAKE OR BREAK YOUR ENTIRE DAY. You can have the best flowers, the best food, the best cake, but if the entertainment can’t carry the night, it’s going be a disaster and that is what your guests will remember.
